1. Acceptance of terms

By making a booking with JulieVCE Makeup & Hairstylist ("JulieVCE", "we", "us"), paying a deposit, or attending an appointment, you ("the client") agree to these terms. If you are booking on behalf of others (e.g. a wedding party), you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for them.

2. Services

JulieVCE provides mobile bridal, formal and editorial makeup and hairstyling services across Brisbane, Gold Coast, the Scenic Rim and surrounding South East Queensland regions. Services are by appointment only. The specific service you book is described on our Services page and confirmed on your invoice.

We work with professional, sanitised products. Where you have specific brand or finish preferences, please discuss these in advance.

3. Bookings & deposits

All bookings are confirmed by:

1. Selecting a service and date through our online booking system or by direct enquiry.
2. Paying a 30% deposit of your estimated total. The same simple rule applies to weddings, formals, photoshoots and special occasions.
3. Receiving an emailed confirmation with your booking details.

Your date is held only once the deposit is received. Verbal or email enquiries do not constitute a confirmed booking.

Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred to a new date with sufficient notice (see Cancellation Policy).

4. Final payment

The remaining 70% balance is payable by direct deposit no later than three (3) days before your event. Bank details are included on your invoice.

If the final balance is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and retain the deposit.

5. Cancellations & reschedules

The full policy is set out on our Cancellation & Reschedule Policy page. In summary:

• Deposits are non-refundable.
• Reschedules with reasonable notice and subject to availability are accommodated wherever possible — your deposit transfers with you.
• Cancellations within 14 days of the event may incur the full balance.

6. Timing & late arrivals

Service durations and arrival times are estimated based on the information you provide (party size, hair length, ready-by time). We will confirm the schedule with you in advance.

If you, your party or your venue access is delayed, we will do everything reasonable to accommodate, but we cannot guarantee the full service in a reduced time window. Additional services added on the day are subject to availability and charged at standard per-person rates.

If we are running late through our own delay, we will notify you as soon as possible and make every effort to deliver the full service on time.

7. Travel, parking & venue access

Travel fees are calculated from Beaudesert, QLD and shown on the booking page estimator. The fee is included in your invoice.

The client is responsible for ensuring:

• Reasonable parking is available at the venue (or that parking costs are reimbursed).
• The space provided is clean, well-lit, ventilated and has access to a power outlet and water.
• JulieVCE has timely access to the venue at the scheduled arrival time.

8. Allergies, sensitivities & skin condition

The client must inform JulieVCE of any known allergies, sensitivities or active skin conditions at the time of booking and again before service. We use professional-grade products but cannot guarantee against allergic reactions.

Where significant sensitivities are disclosed, we strongly recommend a trial appointment in advance. JulieVCE accepts no liability for reactions to products where the client has not disclosed a known sensitivity.

9. Photography & portfolio

JulieVCE may take photographs of completed work for portfolio, social media (Instagram, website) and marketing use. Where photographs identify you personally:

• We will ask for your verbal consent before taking and using such photographs.
• You may decline at any time, including after publication, by emailing hello@julievce.com.au.
• Photographs taken by professional photographers at your event remain the property of the photographer; we will only repost with their and your permission.

10. Intellectual property

All content on this website (text, images, design, code) is the property of JulieVCE or used with permission. You may not reproduce, modify or republish it for commercial use without our written consent.

11. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law (including the Australian Consumer Law):

• JulieVCE's total liability for any claim relating to a booking is limited to the amount paid for that booking.
• We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (e.g. lost wedding deposits with other vendors, missed flights).
• Nothing in these terms excludes consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

12. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for failure or delay caused by events outside reasonable control, including but not limited to: serious illness or injury, government health orders, natural disasters, severe weather, road closures, and acts of God.

If JulieVCE cannot attend due to a force-majeure event, we will offer to either (a) reschedule at no extra cost, (b) source a qualified replacement artist where possible, or (c) refund the deposit and any prepaid balance.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any dispute will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your booking is the version published on this page on the date you paid your deposit. Material changes will be flagged with an updated date.
